Our products are designed and manufactured to the highest possible standards of quality and craftsmanship. Our manufacturing process also encompasses a stringent quality control process, meaning that each product is thoroughly checked before it reaches you, which is why we are convinced that you have purchased a product which you will enjoy for many years to come. In order to qualify under the terms and conditions of our warranty, you must have purchased the product from Firebloom directly or from one of our approved stockists.

Percy Doughty will offer a Limited 1-year warranty for all Firebloom products.

The warranty will apply in the unlikely event that one of our products falls short on performance, a defect occurs or breakdown that occurs from the manufacturer’s design or factory-installed component parts and systems that breakdown due to flaws or defects found. If the product you purchase is proven to be faulty, Firebloom will at its sole discretion exchange the complete unit, or replace the damaged part but that does not include any labour. We may offer to split the cost of the repair, but only for a limited period only.  

The warranty period of the appliance will take effect from the purchase date. During the active period of cover, factoring in the appliance operational time or usage will not hold any bearing on the stated warranty period, neither will it allow for the period to be extended in any way. The limited warranty period is 12 months and during the said period, all the terms and conditions must be met in order to qualify, please see the limitations. The consideration of which is explicit to Percy Doughty, and will also be inclusive of any pertinent information established, as to the nature of the failure or malfunction of the appliance.

It is extremely important that you assemble and use our products in accordance with the user guide, and by use of the available online information. This is essential and in doing so, combined with the correct operation and ongoing maintenance, this will ensure many years of trouble-free use with increased longevity.

 

The Warranty

All our products come with a Limited 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty is not transferable and is extended only to and solely for the benefit of the person(s) purchasing of the stove directly from Firebloom or an approved reseller. Percy doughty reserves the right in the event of a claim, to ask you to provide evidence, by way of a dated sales order/receipt, as proof of purchase.

 

What is covered?

Warranty Exclusions and Limitations

No Warranty is extended to consumable serviceable parts or the repair or replacement of such parts, which are subject to normal wear and tear during the warranty period. Parts that will require replacement in connection with normal annual and ongoing maintenance will include but are not limited to, glass, rope seals, firebricks, log retainers (certain models), baffles and are not covered under the terms and conditions of the warranty.

The Firebloom Warranty does not cover:

  • During the normal operation of, the paint finish of your Firebloom stove may change colour slightly. The paint finish on the Fresco body and chimney system may also require touching up or repainting from time to time.These circumstances are considered normal, and as such are not covered with the terms and conditions of the warranty.

  • Damage resulting from the incorrect assembly of in terms of supporting the unit, the unit not sited correctly and not operated correctly in accordance with the Firebloom installation and operation instructions.

  • Consumable items -rope seals, glass and vermiculite brick lining

  • Modifications of the unit, negligence, abuse, and improper care of the unit

  • Damage or corrosion caused by specific local conditions, this may include the location of a coastal environment, extreme weather conditions, flooding, garden debris, chemical damage caused by pesticides, insecticides or other

  • Commercial use

  • Damage or faults caused by lack of appropriate maintenance as deemed by Firebloom .

  • Damage or premature wear caused by burning inappropriate fuels such as pallet wood, painted / varnished wood or any other unnatural contaminant, coal, anthracite,  or any other petroleum-based coals but not limited to

  • Damage caused by burning wood with high moisture content above 20%

  • Damage caused by unauthorised modifications, use or repair

  • Consequential loss (to the extent permitted by law) relating to other associated products that have not been supplied by Firebloom Ltd.

  • Consequential loss (to the extent permitted by law) related to garden furnishings and boundary fencing/decorative structures including pergolas and parasols

  • Removal and re siting the unit costs, by the end user or third party

  • Damage caused by transportation

  • Damaged caused by using the unit to cook on or to heat liquids

  • Damage caused by sporting activities or water games

  • Damage caused by melting plastics, paints or coverings or other during storage

  • Damage caused by attempting to modify the unit by suspension or other methods not approved by Firebloom

  • The coverage does not extend to scratches, rusting, dents, chips, grazing, flaking of paint, appearances or minor cosmetic cracks of the exterior glaze that do not affect the performance of the firebloom

  • Reasonable wear and tear as deemed by Firebloom

 

FORCE MAJEURE

The Company is not liable for failure to perform its obligations if such failure is as a result of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labour dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service. No party is entitled to terminate this Agreement under such circumstances. If the Company asserts Force Majeure as an excuse for failure to perform the party’s obligation, then the Company must prove that it has taken reasonable steps to minimize delay or damages caused by foreseeable events, that the party substantially fulfilled all non-excused obligations, and that the other party was timely notified of the likelihood or actual occurrence of an event described in the Force Majeure clause.

 

LIABILITY

The Company’s total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this Warranty Policy shall be limited to the price paid to the Company by the Consumer for the appliance. The Company shall not be liable to the Consumer for loss of profit, loss of business, or depletion of goodwill in each case whether direct, indirect, or consequential; any claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with this Warranty Policy will be rejected.

 

ASSIGNMENT

The Warranty Policy is capable of re-assignment in the event that the consumer sells the appliance within the Warranty Period. The Consumer must inform the Company in writing of such sale within 14 days of relocation / resale; failure to do so will result in the warranty becoming null and void.

The Company reserves the right to reject the request of re-assignment dependent on circumstances and the Company decision will be final.

 

LAW

This Warranty Policy is governed by the Laws of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland and the parties shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts. Statutory rights are unaffected.

Repaired or replaced products are covered only for the remainder of the original Warranty period.

If you should ever wish to make a Warranty claim because of a product fault or defect, you must inform us within a reasonable amount of time, usually this is within 14 days from the date on which the fault or defect first became apparent. If the product fault or defect is notified after 14 days from the date on which the fault or defect became apparent, Firebloom cannot accept any liability for events or issues which arise after the 14-day period or which are caused or increased by the lack of notification which therefore prevented action being taken to restrict or eliminate any consequences arising from the fault or defect at an earlier date.

In the event of a product fault occurring during the Warranty period, Firebloom will send the appropriate component or goods necessary to rectify the fault, free of charge.

Nothing in the Warranty shall make Firebloom liable for any or special, incidental or consequential damages, injury to persons or property, or any other consequential loss beyond the consumer’s statutory rights. The liability on these issues is covered by Firebloom Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Firebloom total liability extends only to the purchase price paid for the goods, except where such a limitation is prohibited by statute. Firebloom, in the event of a Warranty claim, reserve the right either to replace the goods in question or to refund the purchase price of the goods.

The Firebloom Warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

In the event of any conflict of information, the warranty details provided on the website shall prevail.

The above warranty terms and conditions came into effect on 1st August 2023 and are applicable for all relevant products purchased after this date.
